Dr. Zandra Jo Galvan

Dr. Zandra Jo Galván has worked in public education since 1993 and currently serves as superintendent of Salinas Union High School District in California and is the previous superintendent of Greenfield Union School District. Dr. Galván thrives on engaging professionals around topics of relationship-building, emotional intelligence, organizational leadership, social justice and equity, dismantling racism, challenging the status quo, social-emotional wellness, innovative technology, sisterhood circles of empowerment, and the uplifting of the next generation of scholars.
Dr. Galván is past president of the California Association of Latino Superintendents and Administrators (CALSA), an alumna of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Superintendent Academy, member of the ACSA Superintendents Council and National Superintendents Roundtable, is a National Mentor/Advisor/Presenter for AASA Superintendents, a National Advisor for Future Ready Schools, and is on the ACSA Region 10 Board of Directors.
Dr. Galvan’s awards include ALAS Latino Superintendent of the Year (2023), District Administration Top 100 Influencers in Education (2024-25) and National Superintendent of the Year Finalist (2024), RTM National Superintendent Leader of the Year for Technology and Innovation (2022), CALSA Superintendent of the Year (2021), ACSA Region 10 Dr. Bill Barr Superintendent of the Year (2020, 2022), and is a National Google Global Silicon Valley Fellowship Awardee (2023-2024).
