Dr. Jesús Jara is the K-12 Global Practice Leader at Prometric. He has more than 25 years of public education experience. Formerly the Superintendent of Clark County School District, the nation’s fifth-largest school system, Dr. Jara is celebrated for his dedication to educational equity and innovation. Under his leadership, CCSD achieved higher graduation rates, increased AP course participation, and improved mathematics proficiency. At Prometric he is guiding the expansion into the K-12 sector, utilizing AI-powered assessment tools from the recent acquisition of EdPower. Dr. Jara has a passion for creating better opportunities for all children through education. That passion is rooted in his own childhood, having moved from Venezuela to Miami. As an English language learner, Jara faced challenges as he acclimated to the United States; however, his teachers were compassionate, set high expectations for all students, and were a critical factor in his success. Dr. Jara is committed to providing underserved students with opportunities to succeed.
